Char House
from Jess Galloway Architects:
This 1940's sprawling ranch style house was completely renovated, giving it new life as a contemporary dwelling nestled into the site. Bound by a cul-de-sac and creek, it has now been given new life.
The exterior was re-skinned in standing seam roofing and Shou Sugi Ban vertical siding to give it a contemporary look. The large windows provide abundant natural light into the interior, while shading from the tree canopy limits solar gain.
The interior was completely refurbished to create a more open and modern feel.
